Meet Milly the Groodle
Local Groodle Milly happily accepts pats from anyone willing to give them while walking around Carlton.
She is a very friendly and energetic six-year-old medium-sized Groodle.
Owners Anna and Jaime got Milly as a puppy. Anna told Inner City News that she was very friendly and energetic, and particularly loved going on long runs with Jaime and playing catch in the park.
According to Anna, Milly was a bit of a handful when she was younger. A noted escape artist, Milly had to be collected from Johnston Street Vet a few times after being picked up by good Samaritans.
Anna added thst she seemed to have left her instinct for escaping behind as she had grown up.
Milly loves water, and especially loves chasing ducks, something owner Jaime learnt the hard way once when running along the Yarra River with her.
Milly darted into the water after some ducks and began to get taken away by the current. Jaime jumped into the water after her and helped her get back to the riverbank. She is no longer allowed off lead anywhere near water.
Milly has adapted well to sharing her home with a newborn baby and 20-month-old toddler Quinn. Anna says she is just happy to be close to the family.
When asked about Millie, Quinn said, “woooof!” •
