Coco the Carlton puppy

Coco is a little four-month-old French bulldog puppy. Her owner, Guillermo, takes her for long walks around the Carlton Gardens.

Three months ago, Guillermo and his wife found Coco listed for sale on a newborn puppy website. 

Among her brothers, she was the one who caught their eye.

“We fell in love as soon as we saw her,” Guillermo told Inner City News. “There was a lady with two of them, a boy and a girl.”

“We thought the girl might be better for us because she might be quieter and calmer.”

The couple has a specific plan for walking Coco. Guillermo walks her in the mornings while his wife works, and when he works, his wife takes care of Coco.

“She’s quite lucky to have us,” Guillermo said.

“She’s never alone because someone’s always here during the day and night.”

Born in Cuba, Guillermo has travelled since a young age. At 20, he moved from Italy to Australia. 

Now, he is a happy member of the community, in the company of his wife and little Coco. •
